DLZ Automotive UK Ltd are proud to announce the appointment of Kevin Sharp as:
‘Head of Aftermarket Sales – UK & Ireland’.
With over 40 years of experience in the Automotive Aftermarket, Kevin has extensive knowledge of the UK & Ireland markets, having previously held Senior roles at several key aftermarket and OE Suppliers within the market.
Starting his career in the Engineering Industry, Kevin brings with him not only the vast experience of the Automotive sector, but also the in depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures. This knowledge is key in a market sector where Product Quality is essential and having the understanding and ability to relate & communuicate those Quality aspects to the market are key.
Kevin commented
“The UK Aftermarket has gone through huge changes over the past few years and those day to day challenges will continue to evolve as the EV integration gathers pace. The needs of the supply chain continue to be challenging and the Distribution network across the globe are facing even more challenges than in previous generations.
With more and more new vehicle manufacturers joining the market and model ranges having a much shorter sales cycle, the requirement of Suppliers to be at the forefront of technology and bringing up to date ‘New To Range’ items to market even quicker is essential.
This is where, from a Motor Factor/Distributor perspective, working directly with the Manufacturer and closing that Supply Chain relationship to a minimum is essential for future growth.
But the one thing that doesn’t change and cannot be compromised on when discussing safety critical items, is product Quality. This is where DLZ excel, from their Tier 1/Tier 2 experience to the state of the art manufacturing facilities, including the brand new Aluminium Control Arm factory in the west of China, the first of its kind to be totally sustainable and zero waste”.
Sharp added
“As part of being ‘market’ ready, it was essential for the UK & Ireland Markets that we made it as easy as possible for the Motor Factort/Distributor to trade with DLZ.
Therefore, getting stock into a UK 3PL warehouse was the first stage, then getting the product portfolio on ‘MAM Autocat’ quickly followed and the final stage was becoming Teccom enabled.
All of this is now in place and ready to trade seamlessly with every customer. I look forward to discussing the DLZ product with every customer in the UK”.
